Edward DeVicente AIA, CPHC

Principal Architect

Edward deVicente has a unique ability to see the forest through the trees all the while working hand in hand with each team member to work through the details of the design. His years of experience as a General Manager has given him the skill sets to setup and run project teams efficiently and thoughtfully. With an degree in Architectural Engineering and Certification in Passive House design, his passion is interrogating buildings at detailed levels to create spaces that integrate high performance with high design.

Ryan J. Mills

Principal / Designer

Ryan J. Mills graduated with a Degree in Fine Arts from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and he began his professional career with an internship at Pixar Animation Studios, launching him into the world of digital art and animation. After several years in the digital arts world, creating ‘virtual’ environments, Ryan turned his focus and experience of art direction, design, and visual communication to the field of Architecture, a lifelong passion of his. As principal designer, Ryan brings a rendering expertise and passion for design to each project.

Michael Holliday FAIA, LEED AP

Principal Architect

Michael Holliday has managed and overseen the design and construction of almost $200 Million in commercial, institutional and several large residential projects. His expertise in design and management of large projects have won he and his firms several local and state design awards for excellence in architecture from the American Institute of Architects. Mr. Holliday was recognized in 2012 by the National AIA as a Fellow, an honor which includes only 3 percent of architects nation-wide share. He has a passion for working with people and for sustainable and environmentally responsible design. He is a USGBC LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Accredited Professional. Mr. Holliday maintains an expertise in securing project planning and design approvals through the various SB County and SB City Review Agencies and his various Community Board Memberships and Civic activities have allowed him and his firm to participate in numerous high profile public and private projects.

Michael Stroh

Principal Architect

Michael Stroh brings a unique understanding of the building code and a strong passion for ornamental steel design to his role as a Principal Architect and Partner with DMHA Architect + Interior Design. Working on a variety of large scale projects, he has developed a wide base of knowledge related to design, detailing, and technical documentation. Mr. Stroh moved to Santa Barbara in 2003, where he has managed projects ranging from a large historical estate home reno-vation to a school renovation. In addition, Mr. Stroh was the project manager for the planning and design of a large hotel renovation in Loreto, Baja, Mexico. From 2006-2016 Mr. Stroh was owner and head of Michael Stroh Architect in Santa Barbara and Ventura, California, which completed multiple large custom estate homes and renovations, restaurants and commercial offices, and several highly technical heavy industrial and hazardous occupancy designs and structures. Having collaborated with DMHA since their inception on multiple projects, Mr. Stroh finally joined the firm in 2017, where he continues to manage interesting and exciting projects of all sizes and uses.

D. Nik Andjam

BIM Manager / Project Manager

With a diverse architectural background plus a deep knowledge of computer hardware and software, Nik started as a licensed Architect & founding principal at Artaville in Iran in the 90's and continued with collaborations in Germany & Senegal before landing in Los Angeles & Santa Barbara. Since moving to the US, he's been utilized more in Architectural software support & management, whether as a teacher, CAD Manager or both. An early adopter of Revit™ in 2000 and through its rise to industry dominance, to a Revit specialist and BIM manager, while also managing projects on the side.

John Eisenbeisz

Senior Project Architect

John brings his strength in management, design, and construction detailing to the DMHA team. For over 25 years he has designed and managed residential and commercial projects ranging from a 280,000 square foot student housing project for the University of California Santa Barbara, an English Country Manor as part of a seaside estate, to a Mediterranean addition and remodel that was chosen to be in the 2004 Historical Homes Parade in Santa Barbara. He holds architectural licenses in California and Hawaii, a US patent for reducing heat gain and loss through windows and has been published in Architectural Record. His passion for architecture and building started with a successful career designing and building furniture, during which he had two exhibitions at the Honolulu Academy of Arts. John is also active in community service. He has been a building inspector for the Governor’s Office of Emergency Services since 2008, and in 2014-2015 was the Logistics Director for the Central Coast Chapter of the American Red Cross.

Maria Martinez

Project Manager



Marie Biaggi, LEED Green Associate

Designer

Originally from sunny San Diego and with roots in tropical Puerto Rico, Marie has always appreciated the vibrant yet relaxed spirit of coastal locales. She graduated from UCSB with majors in Architectural History and Environmental Studies, and a certificate in Green Building & Sustainable Design. In fall of 2015, she joined the DMHA team where she became accredited as a LEED Green Associate and excels at 3D modeling in Revit. Nonetheless, her role is not limited as she aids in all aspects of the design process, documentation, permitting, project management, and construction management. She continues to work toward becoming a licensed architect, while her passion for high performance building has also fueled her to pursue a certification as a Passive House Consultant. When she's not in the office you can be sure to find Marie outdoors - hiking in the mountains, running at the beach or discovering new places - with her trusty puppy, Luna.

Beverly Holliday

Office Manager

Beverly Holliday serves as the Office Manager for the DMHA team and assumes a variety of roles from office management and organization to accounting and billing oversight for all projects in the office. Her extensive experience as a Mom means she can do all things well at the same time including overseeing the wild crew at the office and maintaining front of house functions for the DMHA team.

Accountant
